Everytime I use Nebezial's blender brush, it makes my colors look like bumpy circles. I'm using Photoshop CS4. Why is it doing this?

how much RAM do you have in your computer? if its below 3 gigs it cant handle larger file/larger brushes so it tends to leave that bubly mark behind. you should use a smaller brush and work with it a bit slower.

I have 4 gigs of ram. That's odd. I'll try your suggestion, thank you. :)

Try to work with a smaller image size. Also helps if your PS is working with a Mac instead of a PC. Mac programs work better on Macs. I tried Painter on my Mac...which is a PC program...and I hated it soooo much.

WOW!!!! I love your tutorial!! Too bad I have photoshop 7 ! =P But I'm sure there are other ways that can compare to the blending you demonstrated. Thanks a lot, that's what I call a useful tutorial! Well, for someone who start with photoshop that is! It's very well explained and illustrate, I thank you very much!!!!! :w00t:

well in 7 you can combine soft brush and sharp one to blend since the smudge tool will not make any good effects on it. i tried it out it works good but it takes awhile..

This was fascinating! I do some of the things you mentioned; but the three zones (yellow/red/blueish) was new information, and i must admit, I laughed at the liquidfy-expressions. They seem so funny for such a sober guy. XD

Thank you so much! *applys information*

I really never noticed, nor read nor heard that the face was divided into three different colors. It's looks right though, and is extremely useful. Thank you for the hint.
