im having a bit of trouble! everything is perfect except that when i turn the spacing off draggin the brush leaves big dots (not a smooth blend) Help?

turn spacing on, drag it to 0%, then turn it off again. and dont rush when blending, if you do that it will always leave dots.

also what photoshop are you using? recently i tried out cs5 and the brush works horribly there, especially on a seperate layer. it tends to leave black spots behind.

Yep. CS5 does that. But you're right on taking time with blending. That leaves big improvement.

I'm currently using cs4, i guess using a brush with a bigger diameter will always leave such spots- I'll just use a smaller one ;)


Ow and about the black spots on cs5- have you tried to click the "sample all layers"? if you havedone it you will be able to blend the details on one layer with the base colour on the layer bellow :). And btw thanks for the tutorial.I love it when the stuff is simply and helpfully explained.
